Summary of today’s show: The Literacy Connection is a project of the Sisters of St. Joseph Boston that helps low-income immigrants acquire the language skills they need to not only to their citizenship exams, but also to succeed in employment and get by in their everyday lives. Sr. Patricia Andrews, CSJ, joins Scot Landry and Fr. Chip Hines to talk about the ways that the connection provides these services in the Allston/Brighton area and the unique perspective that it gives them on the immigration reform debates.
